A novel potent, selective, orally active N-type and T-type calcium channel blocker with IC50 of 1.4 and 1.2 uM, respectively; shows no significant activity against L-type Ca2+ channels (IC50=28 uM); reverses tactile allodynia in model of capsaicin-induced secondary hypersensitivity (EC50=300-365 ng/ml), without effect on hemodynamic function; blocks native N- and T-type Ca2+ currents in rat dorsal root ganglion neurons (IC50=3.0 and 1.6 uM), attenuates nociceptive, neuropathic and inflammatory pain in vivo.Pain Discontinued.
